The Great Malvern Christmas Light Switch On is back!
Enjoy a day of Christmas festivities and family friendly activities to kickstart the Christmas period, before Mark Moraghan, of Holby City, and Andrew Agnew, PC Plum from Balamory, officially turn on Great Malvern’s lights at 6pm.
From 10am Malvern Library will be transformed with a Victorian fairground ride, a bouncy castle, food& gift stalls, face-painting, and children’s crafts all taking place. Father Christmas will even be there to meet children in his Grotto.
Meanwhile the Priory Church Grounds will host an Arts and Crafts Market from 10.30am, the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping. From 11am inside Priory Church you can listen to live music from The Witness Choir, hear the bell ringers and listen to a series of family stories throughout the day. There will also be free refreshments and children’s activities.
At Belle Vue Island from 12:30pm there will be Festive Songs taking place, including performances from Malvern St James Junior Choir, a Steel Band, solo singers, and Malvern Rock Choir. Finally, throughout the day, vintage cars will be going up and down Church Street, with fairground swings a large scale Santa and Mr Dandy Doo the Victorian gent also making an appearance in the town centre.
