Stories from Malvern’s past, present and future will be retold as part of a unique theatre project celebrating the town.
Perfect Circle Theatre has been working with various groups and individuals over the last two years to develop a special presentation of storytelling called The Folks from the Slopes – tales of Malvern life. The promenade style show has been commissioned by the Great Malvern: Route to the Hills project and will be performed at Great Malvern Priory. It features documentary films, dance, artwork, devised theatre, and performance poetry. Audiences will meet familiar characters from Malvern’s past, experience genuine tales told by Malvern’s community, and perhaps discover some new perspectives on life in the town.
Northleigh School, Clarence Park, Malvern Radar and Technology History Society (MRATHS), Garage Arts Group, the Big Pickersleigh Project and Fortis Housing were among those who contributed to creating the piece.
